With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner I thought I’d try to come up with yet another funky upcycle for my growing collection of colourful bathpuffs:
Success! Here’s how to quickly create your own pair of Upcycled DIY Rainbow Leprechaun Boots from bits you already have around the house!
Grab that pair of old boots you never wear.
Remove any excess embellishment silliness if necessary.
Paint the boots a lovely shade of green.
(I simply dipped a sponge into some acrylic paint I had on hand and firmly rubbed it into the fabric to ensure an even colour)
Grab a few colourful bathpuffs from your stash + your trusty glue gun.
Quick tip: Before upcycling bathpuffs make sure they are bacteria and germ free by giving them a soak in an equal parts water and white vinegar mixture.
Deconstruct and unravel the bathpuffs. (save those sturdy ropes for future projects)
Hot glue the unravelled bathpuffs around the boots to create a fluffy rainbow!
Make some perfectly coordinated laces out of a couple of lengths of ribbon – stop them from fraying with a dab of hot glue pinched over the ends.
Enjoy your adorable rainbow boots and step out in unique Leprechaun style this St. Patrick’s Day!
