I love Bette Midler.
Her phenomenal talent and brash and bawdy performance style had me hooked as a wee lassie and was a major cause of the unpopular drama geek I would become in my teens. Her inspiring take-no-shit attitude, brutal honesty and hilarious films of the 80’s & 90’s have helped me through more tough times than I care to admit.
Here’s to the Divine Miss M! I hope that my work can spark as much joy as yours has someday.
