Remember that rather boring blouse that I received in my first online preloved thrift haul?
Here’s how I updated & transformed it from dull to delightful using my easy DIY collar ruffle refashion!
All you need is a button up blouse, your scissors & sewing gear.
(This is a great project for hand stitching! Grab my Sewing Basics e-book here & discover how easy it is to get started!)
Decide where you’d like to crop your blouse (+ seam allowance), then chop on through & hem the raw edge or leave it for a deconstructed look.
Cut half of the remaining chopped bottom into 2 equal-ish pieces & hem the 2 raw short sides (or leave for a deconstructed look).
Gather the raw edges of the pieces & stitch to hold in place.
Pin under the collar in your desired position & securely hand stitch.
How completely adorable is that result?
