I’m becoming a whiz at recreating crazy expensive designer looks for pennies from items I already own, preloved garments and a bit of refashionista magic so when I spied this awesome look on Diane Kruger I knew it would be a snap to put together!
Discover how I transformed an old blouse into my groovy version of her Chanel top + the rest of my preloved outfit details on this #ThriftyThursday Copycat: Diane Kruger.
Sleeveless Blouse (inherited & refashioned) $0 – Trousers (thrifted) $2 – Bow Tie (borrowed from my dog) $0 – Suspenders (inherited) $0 – Vintage Clutch Bag (inherited years ago) $0 – Shoes (had for years) – Refashionista Attitude (had for years)
Total outfit cost: $2
Take a peek at how I created my fab sleeveless blouse below:
Step 1: I grabbed a white blouse from my stash. Step 2: Chopped off the sleeves a few centimeters from the seams. Step 3: Folded the chopped edges over & around the seam to the inside of the blouse. Step 4: Stitched the new armhole seams. Step 5: Added a bit of scrap vintage lace around the outside of the new armhole seams for extra fanciness!
