Even though my first diy bodysuit blouse was easy and my second diy t-shirt bodysuit was super simple, my refashionista brain keeps insisting on trying to come up with an even easier method to refashion a top into an always-stays-tucked-in bodysuit.
I think this just may be the quickest and easiest version ever:
Here’s how to create your own in 5 minutes:
Snag that old stretchy tank top that’s been hiding at the back of your drawer + a needle & thread.
Turn the tank top inside out, fold it evenly in half to locate the center of the bottom hem.
Securely stitch the front & back of the bottom hem together at the center point.
Flip right side out and enjoy your new shortie bodysuit!
Pop it on and feel like an old-timey strong(wo)man!

You’re so funny! Strong woman!
My shape means I have an issue finding tops long enough. Cool idea though – simple but effective.
To lengthen a tank top or t-shirt simply unpick the bottom hem or, if you need even more length, stitch a tube of jersey to the bottom of the top – a chopped piece of t-shirt works awesomely 😉
I see what you did here… But how do you get this on? Do you step into it through the neck hole? I’m pretty sure that would not work with my hips. Although I was ready to glue down a top I was wearing yesterday cause it kept bunching up and driving me crazy!
Yup, just step into it through the neckline – exactly like you’d put on a one-piece swimsuit. If you use a stretchy old tank top that already fits you comfortably then hip size shouldn’t be an issue at all. I made mine out of one of the comfy tank tops left over from my preggy days 😉
