DIY Tissue Flower Bouquet – an upcycled straw tutorial

In an effort to live even more sustainably I’m on a mission to use as little plastic as possible in my daily life. An incredibly easy change that anyone can add to their routines is to simply say no to plastic. Take your own reusable shopping bags, don’t purchase overly packaged products and give the boot to plastic straws.

But what about those plastic straws that you may still have lurking about the house?

Create a fabulous floral bunch that stays fresh forever (+ can be personalized to any decor colour) with my DIY Tissue Flower Bouquet – an upcycled straw tutorial!

Grab those plastic straws hiding at the back of your cupboard, a bunch of tissue flowers (make them or get a couple of packs from the dollar store) and your trusty glue gun.

Pop a blob of glue on the end of a straw and stick on a flower.

Stick a couple of petals down around the top of the straw for extra strength.

Create a handful and add a touch of your fave essential oil to each flower for a lovely light scent too!

Pop your fab faux blooms into a vase and enjoy! (also makes an awesome gift!)

My flowers are absolutely perfect in my vintage pitcher on my upcycled suitcase table!
