I can never pass up handcrafted wooden decorations at the thrift store…the older the better!
Take a closer peek at some of the faves I’ve collected over the years…
These 3 gorgeous Russian cutting boards now proudly adorn my kitchen wall (thrifted for €2.25 for the complete set!)
a hand carved Ukrainian covered bowl & plate set inherited from my late grandmother-in-law (purchased in Kiev in the 1960’s)
the details are amazing & the tiny carving imperfections make it wonderfully unique
simply stunning!
Can you believe I discovered this treasure in the trash? The much-faded label on the bottom declares it to be hand carved & painted in Russia in 1962 – dumpster diving at its finest!
another superb thrift score, this handmade Ukrainian plate (with metal inlays) cost only €0.50!
and my ever-growing collection of wooden storage jars…these beauties have been inherited, thrifted & found at the flea market and are definitely a few of my favourite things!
