Why This Guide Exists

Supporting small Canadian businesses isn’t just about shopping local, it’s about building stronger communities, reducing waste, and celebrating creativity that big-box stores could never match.

I created this guide to shine a spotlight on Canadian-run small businesses that deserve to be seen. From handmade treasures and upcycled fashion to eco-friendly home goods, delicious treats, and more, everything listed here is made or run by real Canadians, not faceless corporations.

This isn’t a seasonal gift guide that disappears in January. It’s a living resource that grows all year round that you can come back to whenever you want to support Canadian creators and shop with purpose.

How It Works

  • Every business listed here is Canadian-run. Many are also proudly woman-owned, LGBTQ+-owned, POC-owned, sustainable, handmade, or upcycled-focused.

  • Listings are free. This guide is about building community and visibility, not charging small businesses for exposure.

  • I update this page regularly as new businesses are submitted.
