Easy Vintage Bathroom Cabinet Makeover

Unfortunately our new house didn’t have a bathroom cabinet. Fortunately someone tossed their old one out on garbage day for me to find and upcycle into gorgeous storage for myself!

Grab the details behind my easy vintage bathroom cabinet makeover and transform your own trashy score into lovely treasure:

That cabinet had definitely seen better days but was still sturdy and absolutely usable.

I took the cabinet apart, removed all of the hardware and peeled off that awful faux wood from the sides.

First, I gave the cabinet door a few coats of black paint.

Once the paint was dry I grabbed the tulip wall stickers I scored at the Really Really Free Market and created a pretty bouquet on the front of the door.

Then varnished it all for protection against the steamy bathroom air.

While I waited for the varnish to dry, I snagged my trusty staple gun and recovered the body of the cabinet with fabulous fabric scraps.

Then lined the inside and covered the shelves with some easy-to-clean silicone liner sheets.

Then painted the handle to match the cabinet door and reattached it.

A beautiful result!

From gross to gorgeous in a day!
