Remember my fab cowboy boot refashion?
I finally had a DIY diva brainstorm and came up with a quick & quirky project for the chopped boot tops:
here’s how to create your own upcycled boot top baskets:
Grab a couple of chopped boot tops, some coordinating scrap fabric, a cardboard circle that fits into the boot top bottom and a glue gun or just plain old all-purpose glue if you don’t mind waiting for it dry.
I created my perfectly-fitting cardboard circles by painstakingly trying every small bowl in my kitchen in the bottom of the boot tops until I found one that was a snug fit, then used it as a template to trace and cut out my cardboard.
Cover the cardboard circles with the fabric.
Pop the fancy boot top basket bases in place and secure with glue.
Add a bit of vinage lace embellishment to cover up any messy bits and find a use for your cool new baskets!
