Can you believe I made that delectable, luxurious looking chocolate from cheap foil wrapped ornaments left over from the holidays?
Raid your baking cupboard and let’s get making:
Grab those cheapie (lactose free) chocolates + whatever yummy bits you have on hand.
My cupboards revealed ground hazelnuts, coconut, barberries, sea salt potato chips + a few remaining thin mint chocolates.
Snag a pot & pop a heat-safe bowl in the centre of it.
Break up all of your chocolate, place it in the bowl & then add enough water to the pot to cover the bottom half of the bowl.
Pop the pot onto the stove, boil the water to heat the bowl & melt the chocolate while stirring constantly.
quick tip: if your chocolate starts sticking to the bowl simply add a drop or two of lactose free milk to the mix
Once the chocolate is melted pour it out onto a sheet of waxed baking paper.
Spread it out into an even layer with a spatula.
Grab your tasty cupboard finds.
I crumbled my chips, coconut & nuts together for a savoury sweet taste sensation!
Sprinkle the yummy bits onto the melted chocolate, refrigerate until hard & then dig in to your luxuriously (cheap) chocolate treat!
