Don’t Toss It! Easy Ways to Remove Stains & Fix Holes in Clothes

Stains, holes and damage don’t mean your clothes are ready for the trash! Before you toss them, try these simple ways to rescue your supposedly ruined clothes using things you may already have:

That white denim jacket was left behind at the Again Mall with a seriously grubby ring around the collar, but my trusty baking soda + white vinegar paste got it beautifully white again!

And that ridiculously distressed Zara jacket? It had nearly 50 factory-made holes and nobody wanted it even for FREE! A few colourful fabric scraps later and all of those holes became part of a completely new design.

I’ve also included some of my favourite easy fixes from the Refashionista archives, including iron-on patches, simple hole repairs, doodle stitching and fabric dye for those stains that simply refuse to budge.

The lesson? Don’t toss it just because it’s stained or holey. Use what you have, get creative and make it wearable again!
