I’d been sharing my adventures in upcycling on my family-friendly instagram account without any issue since 2014. Sadly, thanks to instagram’s ridiculous automated reporting system, a few bigoted trolls managed to have my account removed.

I had been concerned because I hadn’t ‘seen’ you on insta for a wee while, originally I had been reading you via facebook but switched to insta at the start of the pandemic. I am very glad to hear that you are ok and would like to know if you did create a new account because one in your name has popped up and I don’t want to interact with it if its a scam.!?!?…take care, keep fabulous, Lisa x
I have created a new account (@ConfessionsofaRefashionista) but I want to get some posts (+ my highlights) on it before I announce it in my next youtube video.😊 Luckily I save everything so I can reuse/refresh my content – hopefully it won’t take 7 years to build up my fantastic eco-loving audience again! I truly enjoy sharing my sustainable lifestyle tips & tutorials to show others how easy it is to make small, affordable eco-friendly changes regardless of age or finances! ♻
So sorry this happened to you. I for one always enjoyed your Instagram content. Instagram & Pinterest are basically the only two Socials that I still enjoy using. There is so much hating and trolling on Facebook and Twitter that I’ve decided to delete my accounts last year. Now I’m losing confidence in Insta as well, so I don’t blame you for not creating a new account.
It is truly disappointing & frustrating that trolls can so easily spread their hatefulness anonymously online.😒 I think I’m going to concentrate on sharing/interacting more on Pinterest as it seems to be a “safer” space to share my makes & sustainable lifestyle tips 😊
