Oh the holiday season, a time when my munchkin insists on watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas daily. Thankfully we have the book + old and new(er) movie versions so are able to alternate for a wee bit of a break from the endless repetition, sigh.
For A Grinchy Green #ThriftyThursday I’m not only sharing my groovy secondhand outfit but also the quickest and easiest refashionista update for a dowdy retro blouse (& it’s totally no sew!):
Get the outfit info and tute below:
I updated this dowdy freebie blouse by simple removing that bow tie and those 4(!) shoulder pads – such a simple fix makes a wicked transformation!
Vintage Blouse (freebie & refashioned) $0 – Cords (thrifted) $2 – Scarf (thrifted) $1 – hat & biker boots (had for years) $0
Total outfit cost: $3

I love your thrifty Thursday blogs. However, my vote for this Thursday and every other Thursday this month is Thrift/upcycled gifts for the Holidays. I would like ro make gifts for everyone but lack ideas especially for the crowd of nieces and nephews who are of the iphone, ipod, ipad, Gameboy, etc crowd.
Cheers Raina 🙂 I understand exactly what you’re going through – here’s my nifty thrifty gifty tips: https://awesomesauceasshattery.com/2016/12/06/december-refashion-challenge-thrifted-diy-gifts/

I’m also a firm believer that if thoughtful, sustainable, DIY gifts aren’t appreciated then there’s really no need to waste the time, money, effort and headaches involved in attempting to come up with a suitable prezzie for those who simply don’t care – my energy is much better spent on those who do.
