Thrift and charity shops are simply bursting with fantastically patterned blouses from the 80’s. Unfortunately they usually have a couple of silly structural additions that make most people leave them on the rack:
Fortunately there’s an easy no-sew blouse refashion that’ll transform those oddly shaped button downs into groovy drop shoulder blouses:
Open up the blouse and grab a pair of scissors or a seam ripper.
Carefully remove those silly shoulder pads.
And your fancy drop shoulder blouse is complete!

I will have to say that you must have better stores than we do here in the States! When I have time I go and search but I never find anything half as cute as you do!
Not at all, unfortunately thrift and charity shops are few and far between here (in the 8 years I’ve lived in Berlin I’ve only found two) and sadly thrifting and shopping second hand is still looked down upon and seen as something only very poor people are forced to do – although that does mean that there’s not a whole lot of people picking through the racks at the thrift store 😉 + I’m always on the hunt for vintage and unique items to refashion and as the regular customers don’t seem to have the same taste as I do they leave the “crazy” bits I love on the rack for me to find 😀
