Look what became of those hand warmer scraps:
meet my quirktastically cool new jacket!
Here’s what I did:
I snagged this almost-forgotten-well-worn corduroy jacket from the storage room
slipped the remaining front of the hand warmer coat over top of it & checked the fit
removed the zipper & chopped the front panels to size
and carefully stitched them on
as the fabric beside the zipper was too thick for my poor retro machine to get through, I machine sewed as close to the edge as possible & then securely blanket stitched the thick sides together using a funky green embroidery thread

I freaking love my ‘new’ jacket!

I freaking love your new jacket too!
Why thank-you Erin 😀 My poor retro sewing machine wasn’t too happy to work on this project but the outcome was completely worth the frustration 😉
This is very cute! I like the recycling of old jackets…..
Thanks very much Elaine…I am thrilled with the fabulous result 😀
