Here’s a couple of incredibly quick fixes for those old damaged sweaters hibernating at the bottom of your stash.
A bit of leather + some pretty patchy pockets = my two easy cardigan refashions
let’s get fixing:
I snagged this “designer” sweater on Winterschlussverkauf (super winter sale in Berlin) for a mere €0.50.
I figured it would be a snap to repair the rips in the neckline and as it already had an awesome leather trimmed zipper.
My refashionista brain kicked into gear and I grabbed the remaining leather bits leftover from my (itsy) bitsy books.
I chopped them into a bunch of triangular shapes.
Then stitched some around the neckline.
and then went ahead and added a few more.
Perfect mended-hole-coverage + a groovy new neckline!
I saved my father-in-law’s old wool sweater from the bin, washed it in hot to shrink it to fit me, stitched up the remaining moth-bites and added a couple of fancy schmancy quilting patches (pinched from Oma) for pretty pockets!
2 delightfully easy yet fabulously fantastic cardigan fixes!
