Dandy DIY Denim Refashions

…are ya lovin’ my fancy schmancy ‘new’ jeans with their groovy this-is-my-first-attempt-at-embroidery details?

Create your own pair of dandy pastel denims with bits you already have in your stash and my Dandy DIY Denim Refashions:

Snag a pair of less than stellar jeans that fit you well but are just…meh…

soak them in a bleach/water solution until you’re happy with the colour

launder as usual & move on to the next victim…

just hideous…

removing a pocket or 2 creates a much more interesting look…

however, bleaching didn’t really improve the situation at all…

Pink to the rescue!

almost perfect…

a wee bit of first-timer-free-hand-embroidery & my nifty new jeans were complete!

(I used the split stitch from the fantastic Craft Stylish embroidery how-to by Erika Kern )

…the bodacious blue – completely awesome with my Hasty Blouse

…and Pretty in Pink with extra sewing machine embroidery stitched around one leg

and a super simple running stitch around the hem!
