Jumpsuits are most definitely my jam, unfortunately the majority seem to be created for those with a much shorter torso than yours truly so I have more than few ill-fitting-thrifted-all-in-ones in my stash waiting to be refashioned into stylish wearables.
Very rarely do I discover a perfectly fitting jumpsuit so when I spied this retro black & white number on the floor during my local thrift shop’s latest 50% off sale I figured it would simply be added to my stash to be refashioned in the future. How very wrong and pleasantly surprised I was:
The length is perfect, the torso is perfect, the bust is perfect and it even has perfect pockets! Check out my preloved look in more detail, grab the tute for my painted clogs and find out my refashioning plans for an 80’s Jumpsuit on #ThriftyThursday:
80’s Jumpsuit (thrifted) $5.00 – Clogs (had for years & painted) $0
Total outfit cost: $5.00
The shoulder pads on this 80’s jumpsuit absolutely need to be removed and I’m also thinking of dyeing it red and perhaps shortening or removing the sleeves – thoughts?
