What do you do when a top is lovely but just not your style?

Grab your seam ripper and sewing gear and refashion it into something you’d actually wear!

Here’s what I did:

I removed that unnecessary side zip.

Stitched the resulting hole closed.

I noticed an awful lot of sequins were missing from this thrifted little top…

grabbed my seam ripper and spent a crazy amount of time carefully removing those annoying bits of bling.

Chopped the shirt to my desired length and gave it a nice clean hem.

Much better!
My thrifty style tip: if you don’t have a belt that coordinates with your outfit, simply slip a vintage scarf through your belt loops and knot it on the side!
