I thrifted an awesome 1970’s dude shirt, unfortunately it was super wide and super square:
Fortunately I was able to easily restyle it to fit perfectly:
Here’s how to refashion a boxy vintage shirt:
(this method also works great for over-sized tees & button- up shirts)
I grabbed that fabulously patterned shirt.
Flipped it inside otu and chopped off the sleeves leaving a few centimeters for seam allowance.
Folded the seam allowance to the inside of the sleeve opening & stitched together.
Snagged a loose fitting top & used it as a template to easily take in the sides of my almost done top.
et voila!
