Anyone with a munchkin has definitely had their makeup collection raided and also been on the receiving end of an oh-so-artfully applied makeover or two:
Of course you look beautiful but letting the kiddo loose in your beauty bag is not really cost (or easy clean-up) effective for everyday play. So, what’s a mommy to do?
Create a glamorous no-mess munchkin makeup collection with some upcycled bits from around the house!
Here’s how it’s done:
1. Grab some emptied and cleaned powder, eye shadow and blush compacts.
2. Pour a thin layer of various nail polish colours into the compacts and allow to dry completely.
3. Wash up a few of your old makeup brushes and add them to the collection.
But what about a fancy lipstick?
I had a bit of hard time finding something that not only had a cool lipstick colour but also fit in the cleaned out tube, fortunately a good dig through my stash revealed a rockin’ red non-toxic hot glue stick, hooray!
I popped the glue stick into the lipstick tube and marked my desired length.
Chopped it at an angle.
Then carefully melted the edge into a smoothly rounded shape.
And stuck the fancy new lipstick colour into the tube.
A glitzy makeup collection perfect for a multitude of no-mess makeovers!
