“There’s power in looking silly and not caring that you do.”
– Amy Poehler
I’m Sheri Pavlović, the DIY diva & author behind the book series, channel & blog Confessions of a Refashionista, the fabulous eco-friendly corner of the internet packed with step-by-step upcycling tutorials for everything from groovy clothing & accessories to funky home decor + a healthy dose of affordable sustainable lifestyle inspiration!
I absolutely adore transforming old into new and sharing my adventures in upcycling with you!
I’m Canadian but lived a most extraordinary existence in North America, Japan, England, Greece & Germany before finally ending up in Toronto after over 20 years spent living & working abroad in the DIY, Fashion, Publishing, Education & Entertainment industries:
My personal definition of a Refashionista? A kick ass DIY eco-fashion & décor upcycling warrior who firmly believes that fab, affordable, unique style can be achieved by anyone without supporting the phenomenon of cheap, unethically produced products & fashion.
I’m often asked why I work so hard creating & sharing refashioning/DIY tutorials & thrifted/second hand outfit inspiration for free – this is why.
Feel free to share your fave Confessions of a Refashionista tutorials & articles with your online circles and encourage them to do the same, because eco-friendly living shouldn’t cost the Earth.

the playlist is awesome! Brings back such memories! Thank you!
You’re very welcome Suzie (although it’s a bit horrifying that the songs are now considered “oldies”, akk!) 😉
I love it!
this blog is so funky, love it!
Herzlichen Dank! Have fun looking around 😉
Love your stories about Germany! 🙂 I have an American friend who decided to move to Germany last year, so I know the stress you’ve been to 😉
Great blog!
cute video. Going to do some more reading on your blog. Not so much an up-cycler as a sewer from scratch, but love to see what others create. It’s a wonderful ability.
Thank-you very much and welcome to my wonder world of upcycling (with a bit of Life in Germany thrown in for good measure =O). Enjoy browsing around ;O)
hi there! love your blog. Was wondering whether you’re interested in being featured on Green Issues 🙂 Thanks!
I’d be honoured to be one of your featured Greeny Crafters!
would love to follow you…are you on facebook? Being inspired by designers in the business keeps my creative juices flowing. I car for my Mom with Alzheimers and it becomes a little consuming. My art is one of my outlets. I too like your humor 🙂
Thanks so much for your groovy compliments! I’ll keep writing & sharing my creations as long as you keep reading & enjoying ’em! =O)
I am now an avid reader! Keep up the awesomesauce! Asshattery- optional. I am already sharing your tuts with the appropriate audiences. Love ya!
I love your sense of humour and your ideas are great – thanks for sharing!
