Clothes too tight?
Yeah… we’re not doing that “guess I need a whole new wardrobe” thing.
Because here’s the truth:
Your clothes don’t stop being good… they just need to fit you now.
In today’s refashion, I’m taking pieces I’ve already made and loved and giving them a second upgrade so they actually fit comfortably again.
Perfection is the enemy of good enough… and if I can do it, YOU can too.

Why Clothes Stop Fitting (and Why That’s NOT a Problem)
Bodies change. Life happens.
That doesn’t mean:
- your clothes are “wrong”
- you need to replace everything
- or your past refashions were a mistake
It just means it’s time for a little adjustment.
Sheri says: Before you buy, go dive into your closet or your nearest thrift store—you might already have what you need hiding in plain sight.
3 Easy Ways to Make Clothes Bigger
1. Add Room to Pleated or Gathered Trousers
If your trousers have pleats or extra fabric built in, you’ve already got hidden space to work with.
A simple adjustment can:
- release extra width
- improve comfort
- and keep the original style intact
2. Add Length to a Jumpsuit (Fix the Torso Fit)
If your jumpsuit feels tight through the crotch or torso, it’s usually a length issue, not width.
Adding a fabric insert:
- gives you more room where you need it
- improves movement
- and makes the piece wearable again
3. Make Pants Bigger (With or Without Sewing)
Whether you prefer no-sew or basic sewing, there are easy ways to:
- add extra width
- improve fit
- upgrade older refashions
Sometimes it’s not about starting over… it’s about making it better.
Refashioning Your Refashions (Yes, It’s a Thing)
Here’s something most people don’t talk about:
Even your refashions can evolve.
What worked a few years ago might need tweaking now.
That’s not failure… that’s flexibility.
And honestly? That’s the whole point of sustainable style.
