My kiddo recently got her ears pierced and already has quite a collection of quirky little earrings.
As I haven’t been lucky enough to thrift an earring tree yet I decided to take a peek through my stash and see if I could create some groovy storage for her growing collection:
Raid your stash and whip up one for yourself in minutes with my Upcycled DIY Earring Holder tute below:
Snag an embroidery hoop, scrap woven fabric (I used linen) & your trusty glue gun.
If you’ve been following my refashionista adventures for awhile you just might recognize that fabric scrap:
It’s the leftover piece from the DIY circle skirt + shrug tutorial in my Confessions of a Refashionista: Life on the ZigZag book from 2013! You can download the updated version of the book right here!
(I’ve had that scrap in my stash for 5 years & it even moved internationally from Berlin to Toronto too!)
My kiddo decided to paint the outer rim of the embroidery hoop for extra fanciness!
Arrange the fabric on the embroidery hoop and make sure it’s tight.
Glue the fabric around the edge of the inside of the embroidery hoop.
Trim off the excess fabric.
Flip it over and enjoy!
Poke the earrings through the fabric and hang your fancy new to you earring holder on the wall!
This would make a fantastic gift too!
