It’s fabulous having a groovy grapevine-covered patio in the backyard (and absolutely takes me back to the 5 years I spent living in Greece) however a totally un-fabulous result of having our very own grapes to harvest are the late night visitors who seem to think of it as their own personal buffet!
After being awoken by the unpleasant sounds of chewing and lipsmacking we decided to investigate just Who is stealing our grapes after midnight??

You wouldn’t think that wildlife would be much of an issue in the big city but as Toronto is the raccoon capital of the world I’m not really surprised that they’ve found our grapevine (& garden!). Healthy raccoons & opossums are not at all dangerous and are easily moved along by banging a pot, making other loud noises or by giving them a push on their way with a long handled broom.
