We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes stated in this policy and to meet legal or accounting obligations.
- Contact and communications records: up to 24 months after the last interaction.
- Comment and site account records: while the content remains published or until you ask us to delete it.
- Order and payment records: 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements.
- Analytics data: up to 26 months in aggregated form.
When retention periods expire we delete or anonymize data.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100 percent secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
8. Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK you have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, and portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
If you are in Canada you can request access to and correction of your personal information, and you may challenge our compliance with PIPEDA with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If you are a California resident you have the right to request to know, access, and delete personal information, to correct inaccuracies, to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable, and to opt out of sale or sharing for cross context behavioral advertising if it occurs. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
