I’m often asked how I store (and keep track of) my ever-growing refashionista stash of vintage and thrifted goodness making it a perfect theme for Thrifty Thursday!
Take a peek at my thrifted, upcycled and repurposed stash storage solutions below:
I’ve had these shelves for years and they’d been used in just about every room before eventually housing the bulk of my crafty stash in my section of the home office in our “Remise” (a small renovated German farm building).
The boxes on each shelf are organized by contents and clearly labelled with upcycled clothespins.
The top of the shelves have a few groovy inherited sewing boxes containing my extra threads and yarn + more fabric/clothing storage bags.
A thrifted shelf keeps smaller sewing notions and fabric pieces neat, tidy and organized.
Here’s a closer look at some of the fab bits stored on those shelves.
This small upcycled desk shelf was created from orange boxes and its contents neatly hidden behind a decorative DIY curtain.
And a quick peek at what lives on those shelves…
including my baby food jar button storage – kept together in an upcycled fruit box and organized by colour, of course!
And last but certainly not least my thrifted laundry hampers keep my knit, denim and cotton gear for refashioning organized and out of the way under my work table.
Working on reorganizing it. Emptied out my room yesterday. It was amazing how much stuff I have in that room. This is a before. http://chquilt.com/2015/11/07/organizing-a-sewing-studio/ I will be posting an after later this week.
AAAAAAA! That is my nightmare! Be sure to share a link to the re-organized “after” too! 😀
