“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness…”
yup, there’s that foolishness…
Here’s how to whip up your own salute to Dickens leaf-jumping skirt in minutes!
Grab a couple of funky, stretchy knits
decide which you prefer for the bottom of the skirt & chop it in half under the arms
take the other sweater & slice it 15 – 20cms from the bottom hem (this will soon be your waistband)
Measure from one side of your waist to the other, subtract a few centimeters to allow for stretch & cut your nearly done waistband to size. Stitch the ends together…and you’re done!
pop it over the almost-a-skirt right sides facing, raw edges lined up & sew together
as always zigzag over top of the outside seam for extra strength
and you’re done!
Pop it on & enjoy the crisp autumn air in your cozy new skirt!
