Easy DIY Tinted Lip Balm

Popping on some lipstick always makes me feel ready to face the world but I don’t always have the time (or will) to go through all of the steps required to create my perfect pout which is when my easy DIY tinted lip balm saves the day!

You just may have the 4 simple ingredients to whip up a batch of your own personalized lippy in your house right now so let’s get making!

All you need is 1 tbsp of beeswax, 1 tbsp of coconut oil, 1 tsp of olive oil, 1/8 tsp lipstick + a small container.

quick tip: dark coloured lipsticks work best to create a subtle tint – light coloured lipsticks become too diluted and the pigment nearly disappears when everything is mixed together.

Pop everything into a small microwave safe bowl.

Microwave on high for 1 – 2 minutes or until all of the ingredients have melted together.

If you don’t want to microwave then simply grab a pot + a heat safe bowl that fits into the pot. Boil a couple of cups of water in the pot, turn down the heat and pop the bowl into the pot to create a simple but effective double boiler to melt your ingredients together.

Thoroughly mix the melted ingredients together then carefully pour the liquid into the container. Allow to set and enjoy your grab and go lip balm!

Fab for soothing dry, chapped lips.
