The ugly truth behind fast fashion giant H&M

I have been sharing my passion for refashion and ethical, sustainable style for quite some time and hope that I have been able to encourage others to step away from fast fashion and start creating their unique looks from high quality preloved gear and my delightful DIYs.
One of the reasons I began my refashionista journey was to stop supporting unethically produced fast fashion which was no small feat considering I lived a mere 2 blocks away from an H&M in Berlin. Those bright red sale signs beckoned me every time I walked passed – thankfully there was more than enough information online to squash any thoughts of giving my hard earned money to that morally corrupt company regardless of how amazing the sales were.
The following documentary by Marie Maurice reveals the ugly truth behind fast fashion giant H&M. This investigation takes us on a tour of what really goes on behind the scenes of multibillion dollar H&M: from the workshops in Bangladesh and Ethiopia to the discreet fiscal optimization in Europe – all controlled by brutal management practices aimed at silencing any protesting voice.

Sadly H&M, with their unlimited funds and team of lawyers, managed to get the documentary taken down.
