Simple No Sew Vintage Blouse Refashion

Thrift and charity shops are bursting with frumpy blouses just begging to be refashioned. Luckily most people don’t see the amazing potential and blow right past those dowdy retro beauties:

Check out just how easy it is to transform a less than stellar button-up shirt with my Simple No Sew Vintage Blouse Refashion:

Bask in frumpiness of that blouse: 4 shoulder pads and a decorative bow tie!

It’s so simple to update a dowdy vintage blouse and make it on trend once again without sewing a stitch:

Step one: Remove any excess schnicky schnacky (in this case that silly bow tie)

Step two: Remove the shoulder pads (why did this blouse have 4?!)

Those blast from the past blouses from the 1980’s are immensely improved by removing the shoulder pads but I wasn’t quite done no-sew-transforming this one and decided to revisit my spray dye tutorial:

A few sprays + a wash and I now have this fab wardrobe addition:

To create a groovy V-neckline I simply leave the top 2 buttons undone and fold the edges inside.

Don’t leave that drab blouse at the thrift shop (or the back of your closet), see the potential and transform it!
