Fashion Cents with Confessions of a Refashionista

Guess who’s the feature cover story for the April edition of the Salvation Army Thrift Store magazine?

Grab your free copy at any Salvation Army Thrift Store in Canada throughout the month of April!

Take a peek behind the scenes and read the digital version of my feature below:

Of course the interview had to include a hilarious photo shoot at the newest Toronto Salvation Army Thrift Store location in East York. (I’m kicking myself for not getting that floral 90’s dress & faux fur vest!)

A massive bear squeeze to my absolutely fabulous interviewer and photographer Kristin – what could have been a long, tedious day flew by thanks to her humour, bright personality and professionalism.

I love you shared this fun to make tee necklace in the article <3

Your creative spirit is so inspiring. Thanks making the digital version available to those of us not in Canada!

    Warmly,

    1. Thanks very much Mariana – I’m thinking of writing a monthly upcycling DIY for the mag 🙂

  2. Fantastic article Sheri!

    1. Thanks 🙂 It was a fun experience and will hopefully convince others that thrifting can be even more stylish (& is definitely more sustainable) than buying new.

Canada is where the cool kids live! Great article, Sheri. No magazines here, but we do have a Goodwill event coming up: http://www.goodwillnwnc.org/color-me-goodwill-2016/

Whoops, that link is from last year…but same idea this year, some designers will do it again, others are new.

      1. That’s an awesome event idea – got my wheels turning now! 🙂

    2. Cheers Meg 😀 Unfortunately the mag is only available in Canada 🙁
