The Easy Upcycled DIY Key Holder

I love creating useful bits from found items and reinventing roadside trash into funky treasure. Spying cast-off pieces of wooden goodness always gets the wheels turning in my DIY diva brain!

The next time you spot a little wooden box in the trash remember The Easy Upcycled DIY Key Holder tutorial and take it home to create your own useful bit of decor!

I discovered that little wooden box on the side of the road, took it home, cleaned it up and grabbed some paint and small hooks from my stash.

I gave that sad little box a few bright and cheerful coats of paint.

Added some more funky colours with help from the kiddo and, once dry, screwed the hooks into the top of the inside of the box.

Then attached our fancy new key holder to the wall.

A bit of imagination easily transformed that tossed out box into a useful bit of colourful decor!
