Rosacea Reviews: Rodan + Fields Soothe Regimen

– This is NOT a sponsored post and I have received no compensation from the brand mentioned. All of the products were purchased with my own money and tested on my face. I allow my skin to completely heal before trying any new rosacea skin care product. This review is 100% honest and based on my personal experience with each product line. As everyone’s skin is unique yours may react differently and individual results will vary. –

My quest for an effective rosacea skin care line has led me to try over the beauty counter anti-redness products and all-natural redness preventing formulations, unfortunately none of those lotions and potions were successful at calming my little rosacea cheeks.

Let’s take a look at the before and after results for my latest Rosacea Reviews: Rodan + Fields Soothe Regimen:

The Soothe regimen from Rodan + Fields claims to soothe sensitive skin and maintain a healthy-looking, even-toned complexion as well as neutralize sensitivity triggers at the skin’s surface and reduce dry, cracked, chapped skin and visible signs of redness. I was pretty darn impressed with my initial results with this product line, although it didn’t appear to reduce my redness drastically (& did absolutely nothing for the flushing that accompanies rosacea), it really did seem to keep those pesky pustules away. Hooray!

Unfortunately at $196 Cdn ($225 with shipping) the Soothe regimen from Rodan + Fields is prohibitively expensive and the moderately positive results are simply not worth the cost – especially when this happened:

After more than a few successful weeks of use the itchy redness and those pesky pustules returned with a vengeance and I was back to using the gentle rosacea skin care routine I brought along from Germany.

My quest for an effective treatment for rosacea now continues with a recent prescription for Metrogel 1% (metronidazole gel) – fingers & toes crossed!

Until the next round of my Rosacea Reviews take a peek at my Living with Rosacea category and learn what happened when lasers met my face, discover how I successfully cover a breakout as well as my gentle rosacea make-up removing routine.

    Hi,

I’ve been dealing with Rosacea for over 2 years now and I think I’ve found something that works for me. I’ve been on all types of antibiotics, metrogel, Soolantra and so many other dermatology prescriptions that never worked (it just made my situation so much worst). I know that every skin is so different too that we all have to try things to figure it out. I’m not sure if Soolantra helped you after all, but if it didn’t like me, I found the Kalme Skin Care kit (full range). These products are from the UK and that’s the only thing that has helped me. I’m from the US and it takes about 2 weeks to get here, but I’ve been using this range for about 8 months now and I promise you this has helped soooo much. I’m also trying to help people with rosacea because it can really bring you down. It was hard for me to understand why, but after trying so many things that didn’t help I had to give it a try. Hopefully it can help you too.

    1. Thanks for recommendation Jilliann 🙂 Rosacea is awful and can absolutely destroy one’s self-esteem 🙁 Since being diagnosed with rosacea 7 years ago I’ve tried everything from laser treatment to whatever lotions and potions I could get my hands on! Thankfully Metrogel 1% has been working for me for nearly a full year now so I have fingers and toes crossed that it will continue – if not I’ll most certainly try Kalme 😉

I’ve tried many different treatments and prescriptions over ten years. Went to a new dermatologist who prescribed Soolantra and it cleared up my Rosacea in a couple weeks and I haven’t used it again for months. I have no more redness and no pustules.

    1. I’ve been using Metrogel 1% since January and am incredibly happy with the results 🙂 I’ll ask my doc about Soolantra (or Rosiver in Canada) when it’s time for a refill though, thanks for the tip. Here’s my results with Metrogel: https://awesomesauceasshattery.com/2017/03/07/rosacea-reviews-metrogel-1-galderma/

THANK YOU for your real review! (Especially on the cost- holy heck!)

    1. You’re very welcome 🙂 After being unable to find any truly honest and useful rosacea product reviews and helpful anti-redness skincare tips online I decided to share my own experiences in an effort to help others make better informed decisions before purchasing products they (and their skin) might regret.
