My Thrifty Christmas Wish for #ThriftyThursday

The festive holiday season is definitely the time for thinking of others, making a conscious effort to brighten up our own lives and make as many positive plans as possible for the coming new year.

Take a peek at My Thrifty Christmas Wish for #ThriftyThursday and be sure to share yours too!

My top 6 sustainable lifestyle tips

My first wish is, of course, for more people to embrace the upcycled, DIY lifestyle and realize just how easy it is to step away from consumerism and unethically produced products without at all compromising their personal style and quality of life.

The (ridiculous) Devils Advocate Query for Unethical Fashion

My second wish is for all consumers to demand that the giant companies behind fast fashion brands finally pay garment workers the living wage they deserve. Unfortunately the only way this will happen is if consumers make that conscious choice to say “no” and stop buying the unethical products until changes are actually made and not just promised for some random time in the future. Sadly the average shopper simply doesn’t care which is why it’s so important to share the wealth of information available and continue to spread the message about garment worker rights to those still being caught by the lure of cheap fast fashion.

Why do you choose #SecondHandFirst?

My third thrifty wish is to be able to continue sharing my sustainable lifestyle tutorials, upcycling tips, refashioning tricks and unique ethical style inspiration and have my Confessions of a Refashionista reach new heights of success.

It’s as easy as 1 – 2 – 3 to help keep my Confessions of a Refashionista going strong:

1. Comment. I don’t think there’s anyone online who doesn’t appreciate a kind comment, especially when so many of us are the victims of trolls. Let bloggers know that you enjoy what they do and acknowledge their hard work – it’s an awesome feeling to discover that our creativity and dedication is indeed helping others and not going unnoticed.

2. Like. It takes less than a second of your time to hit that little like button on social media but it really does go a long way in this fast-paced online world and can even help push those all important behind the scenes stats!

3. Share the posts you love with your own online circles and encourage others to do the same. In the blogging world sharing really is caring.

    1. Cheers my dear! Have a fantastic refashionista holiday chock full of thrifty goodness 😀

  2. Happy Christmas 🙂 I do like your posts, but I don’t see the like button on them any more, so I can’t click it. I’m a bit fed up with FB so I haven’t been on there for a while.

    1. Happy holidays back atcha! 🙂

My fancy new design got rid of the “like” button on posts but no worries you can always use the ancient form of verbal communication and spread the Confessions of a Refashionista love to your peeps in person 😉
