As all of my tattoos commemorate rather large events, decisions and episodes in my life some fresh ink was most certainly on the menu after my international relocation from Berlin to Toronto:

Thinking about getting some fresh ink? Take a peek at the steps behind my latest refashionista tattoo:
Step 1: Find a highly recommended, wonderfully reviewed tattoo studio and meet your potential tattoo artist to discuss design ideas and set up an appointment.
I did loads of research before deciding on Black Engine Tattoo Company and will absolutely be returning to Colin for my future ink.
Step 2: Once you’re completely happy with your design and 100% sure of its position on your skin the tattoo artist will disinfect the area and prepare it for the needle.
Step 3: The tattoo outline is placed on your skin with water and transfer paper (in much the same way as temporary kid’s tattoos).
Step 4: The artist loads brand new needles and the ink into the tattoo gun.
Step 5: The ink is poked into your skin.
This is my 6th tattoo and I’ve honestly never felt anything beyond a mild discomfort – kinda like rubbing a sunburn or having a kitten scratch you.
Step 6: Enjoy your new ink and be sure to follow the healing instructions!

I got my first tattoo at age 40, second at age 50, and third at age 60. Each one tells a story and, like you, I couldn’t be happier with them. My next one will be sewing themed.
Awesome! There’s definitely no age limit when it comes to getting inked 😀 I got my first at 21, second at 29, third at 38, fourth at 40, fifth at 42 and sixth at 43 and have no intention of stopping 😉
