Rosacea Reviews: Avene Antirougeurs & La Roche-Posay Rosaliac

 – This is NOT a sponsored post and I have received no compensation from the brands mentioned. All of the products were purchased with my own money and tested on my face. I allowed my skin to completely heal before trying each new rosacea skin care product. This review is 100% honest and based on my personal experience with each product line. As everyone’s skin is unique yours may react differently and individual results will vary. –

Rosacea Reviews: Avene Antirougeurs & La Roche-Posay Rosaliac

Rosacea sucks and thus far has no permanent fix so I’m continually searching for lotions and potions to ease the flushing, redness, bumps and sensitivity of this annoying skin condition. Take a peek at my completely honest experiences as I hunt for the perfect rosacea skin care regime starting with Rosacea Reviews: Avene Antirougeurs & La Roche-Posay Rosaliac:

Rosacea Reviews: Avene Antirougeurs & La Roche Posay Rosaliac

Avene Antirougeurs products claim to gently reduce, relieve, calm and repair the tightness, heat and discomfort of sensitive, redness prone skin. Unfortunately this product set caused a rosacea breakout within the first week of use so my search for a rosacea skin care line that works for me was not yet over.

Cost for product set in Germany: €96.80 (ouch!)

Rosacea Reviews: Avene Antirougeurs & La Roche Posay Rosaliac

La Roche-Posay Rosaliac is supposed to soothe sensitive skin and reduce the appearance of redness. Sadly my skin was screaming at me after less than 48 hours of use.

Cost for product set in Canada: $80.24 (thankfully the shop I purchased them from gives full refunds)

My hunt continues…

Until the next round of my Rosacea Reviews take a peek at my new Living with Rosacea category and learn what happened when lasers met my face, discover how I successfully cover a breakout as well as my gentle rosacea make-up removing routine.

I flare with the La Roche Rosalia, but the Toleriane line seems much better.

Shopping yesterday they gave me some samples for the Avene tolerance line which I will also try. Both are supposed to be better for sensitive skin. Worth a shot especially if you can return if unsatisfactory

    1. After trying (& suffering) through too many over-the-counter & online products I ended up getting a perscription for Metrogel from my doc and am ridiculously pleased with it 😀 Be sure to check out my other rosacea product reviews for my honest experiences + all of the before & after pics: https://awesomesauceasshattery.com/category/tutorials/tutorials-for-erm-beauty/living-with-rosacea/

Wrote a long and involved response then tragedy struck so I’ll keep this short and to the point.
I have horribly sensitive skin. The red devil of skin conditions means I get tiny pimples and unrelenting redness, and flaky skin that never seems to be moisturized. Lots of trial and error. The three things that have made me feel human again are as follows.
    1. Eating an entirely gluten free diet.. Dairy too but that has effected my allergies more.
It helps cut down on inflammation LOTS.
    2. I use Avene cleanser and witch hazel it’s has drastically reduced the tiny pimples and have switched to moisturizers that are organic and contain rose in them and at night I cover the lotion with rose hip oil mixed with a little bergamot essential oil ( get it with out bergepeptines)
    3. Turmeric golden milk at night, it drastically(!!!!!!) reduces inflammation. I use chocolate almond milk, tumeric, cinnamon, and coconut oil.
I have some brand names I’ll pass along..

    1. It definitely takes A LOT of trial and error and mad scientist product combinations to find what works for one’s own skin. I’m totally gluten and dairy free as well as vegetarian (I would go vegan but after nearly 7 years living in Japan my love of sushi just won’t let me 😉 )

        Wa wa wa. 😕
Sushi is nom! Yhea I think it took two years for me to get the rosacea under control. Actually it was only this past summer that I solved the flakiness. I have two women I go to to get facials every month or so.
My facial lady said that steam is a huge no no btw. HUGE. So what does trigger you? I have to stay away from alcohol as well.
