Perhaps it’s because of my Irish/Scottish ancestry but I’ve always been more attracted to tartan than checks. I do, however, have a single checkered (& seriously awesome) refashioned item in my wardrobe that looks fab worn on its own or as a groovy outfit topper:
I discovered that marvelous checkered duster jacket in the men’s section of the charity shop and even though it was in less than stellar condition I snapped it up, brought it home and had it ready to wear in no time!
