My DIY Haircut for the Perfect Trim

I’ve been trimming my own locks for the past few years and have perfected a method that combines the easy “ponytail cut” method + some extra little snips of my own to create my perfect DIY trim:

Grab your scissors & let’s get chopping!

Invest in a good pair of stainless steel hair cutting scissors.

(I got mine brand new from ebay for a mere €6)

As I have crazy thick curly in some spots & wavy in others hair, I straighten it before starting for a clearer view of how much to chop off.

Brush all of your hair forward & tie it into a ponytail right in the center of your forehead.

Decide how much you’d like to cut , grasp the hair between your fingers and chop on through.

Pull out the ponytail, give your hair a shake & marvel at your lovely perfect layers!

But wait! The ponytail cut didn’t quite reach the very ends of your locks!

No problem! Simply separate your hair into two low pigtails & evenly trim up the ends!

Hooray! Perfectly trimmed hair in about 10 minutes – for free!
