My DIY (not so ugly) Christmas Sweaters

You can’t celebrate the holidays without a quirky Christmas sweater!

Here’s my quick n’ simple scrap busting method for creating adorable seasonal pullovers that will be enjoyed year after year!

Sift through your stash and get embellishing:

A piece of an old green fleece scarf makes a great Christmas Tree + a few scraps of lace, ribbon, doily & a washable fabric ornament or two for groovy decorations!

A thrifted oversized turtleneck gets a Rudolph created from a bit of faux suede curtain, wool & doily scraps and pom-pom trim!

A fireplace is a cinch to make with a bit of creative scrap cutting & a couple of mini stockings!

Imaginative planning is key to embellishing success, be sure to try a few scrappy combinations before stitching it all down and don’t be discouraged if everything doesn’t go as planned – a surprising result makes refashioning even more fun!
