a DIY 90’s shoulder free cut out shirt tutorial

I discovered a box of groovy photos from days gone by & as inspiration can be found just about anywhere:

Wheee! I recreated that rad shoulder-free blouse!

– with a few updates befitting my older self –

Here’s my DIY 90s shoulder free cut out shirt tutorial:

I grabbed a silky vintage blouse & some wide satin ribbon

Then folded the blouse exactly in half with the shoulder, sleeve & side seams lined up then chopped out a semi-circle starting below the collar seam & ending under the shoulder seam (the blouse in the original photo had much larger cut-outs)

Then I simply bound the raw edges with the satin ribbon & my cool cut-out blouse was complete!

    1. I love recreating my styles from the past – I’m now old enough to have photographic evidence proving that fashion just continually repeats itself! Ack! 😀
