Refashioned and upsized no waste kiddo outfit

As Grandma always said: “Waste not, want not…”

Recognize what I used to whip up this adorable little set?

Grab some refashionista leftovers and create a refashioned and upsized no waste kiddo outfit:

Yup! It’s the chopped turtle neck from my quirky cowl (+ an outgrown munchkin long sleeve)

slice the shirt in half under the arms…

and chop off the sleeves as well, set them aside for now…

pop the turtle neck over the bottom half of the shirt (right-sides-facing & raw edges lined up)

stitch the raw edges together

flip your sweet new skirt right-side-out & zigzag over the outside seam for extra strength

grab the chopped sleeves & zigzag the raw edges for a purty lettuce hem et voila! A matching pair of legwarmers are born! (plain sleeves? give ’em some embellishment love!)

wheeee…

dancin’ on the balcony in the rain!

Turtle necks work fab’ to quickly fix uncomfortably-tight-waistbands too!
