This super sweet headband was created in about 15 minutes from a piece of t-shirt scrap…it’s so simple (& free!) you’ll want to make one for every outfit!

Yay! My über-cool cousin (& her awesome daughter) are coming all the way to Berlin for a visit! In preparation for re-living our childhood with giggly-up-all-night-girly time I’ve been hunting for easy to make & fun to eat finger foods. I discovered this little gem and immediately strolled to kitchen and gave it a whirl. Naturally, I had to add a bit of my own imagination to the mix…
1 packet of yeast, 1 1/3 cups warm water, 2 tablespoons oil, 2 teaspoons salt, 3 1/2 cups flour, 1/4 cup butter (or margarine), parsley flakes, minced garlic, basil, paprika, finely chopped onions, cheese
As we’re still in buying-diapers-in-bulk-time and I still think it’s a shame to waste the sturdiness of the boxes I’ve come up with (another) useful idea to upcycle them into….dandy drawers!
Our little cherub had a plain, boring shelf in her room that stood empty as it was a magnet for dog hair…now all of her burp cloths & extra blankies are neatly put away & safe from fido-fluff! Continue reading

As the weather is definitely cooling off in Berlin it’s time to start preparing for our Kleiner Hosenpuper’s first fall & winter chill. As she’s not yet a fan of quilts & blankets and for some reason the only sleep sacks available here are sleeveless I was determined to make a warm & cosy version with full arm coverage – or go insane trying! Luckily, inspiration soon struck & I was sifting through my stash for the ingredients!

Yesterday I had a wisdom tooth pulled…not as painful as I thought it would be but I still can’t eat anything crunchier than soup broth, pudding & yoghurt. As I’m in no mood to cook just for my hubby he went to the Metzger (deli) and got himself some Wuerstchen & Kartoffelsalat.
